 Summer in Winter ? No, not a Dream
Spend the winter in the exceptional climate of the Marina Alta, i.e. the north part of the Costa Blanca and the most eastern point of the Iberian Peninsula. It's an area well protected from the chillier Spanish inland winter winds, abundant with sun, and denominated as one of the healthiest climates in Europe.
Forget it's winter time! Enjoy life to the full.
 It doesn't have to be a dream. In winter, days might be short, grey and wet in most parts of Europe, but no such thing in Denia !
Many therefore prefer to spend the cold northern months in this sunny part of South Europe.
The Spanish Costa's, especially the Costa Blanca, is probably the most favourite place to spend the winter under the sun. Denia more particularly has a beautiful coast line and is therefore an ideal place to stroll along the sand or rocky beaches, or just to enjoy the sun all day in the open. There is no healthier climate to spend the long winter.
We have several interesting options to offer our winter guests :
Long term winter stay in one of our bungalow apartments in TROPICANA PARK urbanisation.
 A very peaceful urbanisation, walking distance from Denia town center and next to the astonishing natural coast line of Las Rotas.
The rent prices during winter months are kept very attractive. For only 700€ per month (approx. 630£) (*) we offer a nice bungalow, in a splendid and relaxing environment. The bungalows in Tropicana Park have a double bedroom, bathroom with tub or shower, open kitchen, living room, satellite-TV and/or TDT digital channels, a covered terrace overlooking
the peaceful gardens and view on the central swimming pool.
The urbanisation is ideally located: right next to the famous Las Rotas coast (a nature reserve), but still at walking distance from Denia town center, with some bars, restaurants and a small shop close by.

A silk soft climate
 The "Marina Alta", with Denia right in the heart of it as its capital town, is the area at the north of Alicante province.
It's a region well known for its extremely mild climate in winter and summer. This exceptional Spanish micro climate exists thanks to the surrounding mountain chain, keeping the colder inland winds away.
This area has been denounced by the WHO (World Health Organisation) as one of the healthiest climates of Europe, especially for those
suffering from heart and artery diseases.
The WHO-monument at the port of Denia, a steel statue representing the sun rays, reminds every visitor to this when entering the town. For this reason the Marina Alta has build up a reputation as ideal winter residence for people from all over Europe.
The climate in this area is really unique. The average day temperature in winter lies around 15 to 20°C (in the shade). And the sun is happy to shine almost 6 or 7 hours a day on average during winter months. Just what you need to get those extra vitamin D.
Nevertheless it's remarkable to see how Spanish inhabitants of Denia sometimes dress in winter: coats, hats, jumpers, etc. They dress to get at least some of the winter feeling, while foreign visitors walk aside with t-shirt, short trousers.
Ideal place for a winter break
This climate combined with the beautiful natural unrugged coast line of Las Rotas or the long stretched sandy beaches of Las Marinas, make Denia the ideal place to spend the winter.
Denia used to be a quiet typical fisher town, and has over the years been developed to a popular but still beautiful coastal town. Fortunately the fast growing
Spanish tourism did not come together with an ugly apartment tower building style.  The skyline of Denia was kept low, making this area much more attractive than e.g. the nearby Benidorm or even Calpe.
Good location for exploring the Costa Blanca
A day out to Valencia or Alicante ? Both cultural cities are only an hour drive from Denia. They offer an enormous level of culture, pleasure and activities in winter. 
Or why not visiting one of the many coastal towns at the Costa Blanca ? Benidorm,
Javea, Calpe, Altea, Moraira and Gandia, are all within reach and can therefore easily be visited from Denia. Even Valencia and Alicante, two important cultural cities, are only one hour away from Denia.
